“Harm reduction” is the act of doing something to reduce the harm and/or impact of another activity. This can be anything from putting on a seatbelt while you drive, wearing a mask while in public, using a clean needle every time you're injecting something into your body, wearing earplugs at a loud concert, wearing a condom when having sex, etc... All of these things are done to prevent more harm than necessary when performing another activity.
While we encourage all aspects of harm reduction, our team focuses on providing harm reduction services and resources surrounding safer drug use and safer sex. We do this through our mobile outreach teams, pop-ups at various events providing food, clothing, and safer use supplies, and education sessions for businesses and groups, as well as several forms of advocacy and protests throughout the city.
We have an abundance of resources available on our page below, as well as on our Instagram and Facebook pages.
